Ingredients for a Dill Pickle Martini
I’m going to go out on a limb here and surmise that if you’re reading this post, you like cocktails and dill pickles, therefore, you probably have a jar in your fridge and will have all the ingredients you need to make this martini.
- Vodka – use your favorite brand. I like the American-made premium brand Fifty States Vodka. It’s distilled six times, so it’s very smooth.
- Dill Pickle Juice
- Ice
- Dill Pickle for garnish
Here’s how I made a dill pickle garnish for a martini
It’s easy to make the pickle garnish you see in my photos. Here’s how I did it: cut off about an inch and a half of a dill pickle spear. Using a small knife such as a paring knife, gently cut between the skin and the flesh of the pickle on both sides, about a fourth of the way up. Don’t cut it so much that the pickle won’t stay on the rim of the glass.

What type of glass do you use for a martini?
Martinis have their own glass. A martini glass has tapered sides and forms a V-shape, like what is in the photos in this post. If you don’t have martini glasses, you can use a coupe glass, which is also sometimes used for champagne.
What appetizers can I serve with pickle martinis?
Appetizers to serve with these martinis include fried pickles, possibly the obvious choice, especially for pickle lovers. Easy whipped honey ricotta and apple sausage pastry bites are other delicious options.
