What do I need to make this peppermint vodka recipe?

It only takes two ingredients to make this peppermint vodka recipe.

  • Since the vodka turns a pretty shade of pinkish red, you’ll want to use a glass jar rather than anything plastic. The plastic might discolor.
  • Candy canes. I used mini candy canes but you could break up regular-sized ones to fit into the jar.

Can I use starlight mints instead of candy canes?

You can absolutely use the round starlight mints to make this infused peppermint vodka! Adjust the number of candies because you may want to use a few more. If the flavor isn’t as pepperminty as you’d like, add more candies and let them dissolve.

The pretty color makes it ideal for wedding shower cocktails around the holidays.

What can I make with peppermint vodka?

Make a boozy peppermint milkshake. It’s delicious with both chocolate and vanilla ice cream.

Use it to make a candy cane martini, a shamrock martini, a peppermint mudslide, or create your own concoction.

How do you store candy cane vodka?

Store this peppermint vodka or any homemade infused alcohol, such as this candy corn vodka, in the refrigerator for up to 4 months. Make small batches so you use it up more quickly and don’t have leftovers.
